Maggie rejects Fatphobic Fashion Dictates.
Maggie says fuck flattering with some help from Gisela Ramirez. Part Ten in a Series of Maggie smashing the fat shaming culture that created her to sell self-loathing to children.

“Maggie Learns to Belly Dance”
“Maggie Goes to Re/Dress NYC”
“Maggie Joins a Punk Rock Band”
“Maggie Protests Fat Stigma”
“Maggie Explores the Galaxy”
“Maggie Reclaims the Word Fat”

I don’t think i’d heard of the “Maggie goes on a diet” book until I saw this picture tonight. Why would anyone think it was a good idea to put a pre-teen or child on a diet, let alone expose them to the fat-shaming message of this book?
I’m honoured to be referenced in this ’alternative story’ however, and it makes me feel very very ‘flattered’ that Maggie would wear my shirt. :)
Thanks red3blog!
